Passport (valid for 6 months + from the date of the trip), visa and insurance
Money (including visa card, needed to purchase entrance-tickets to the monuments and tourist attractions)
Sun protection - cream with UV30 at least
Hat and/or a scarf.
Sunglasses
Clothing:
- Sandals on a solid sole.
- A pair of closed but airy, breathable shoes
- Clothes that cover the shoulders, knees and stomach - airy cotton or linen clothes and so-called technical ones work best.
- Women will need scarves to cover their heads and shoulders occasionally.
- If you leave the tents in your pajamas, I would ask that women cover their knees and shoulders, and men use their T-shirts at least
It shouldn't be cold, but it's worth having a light sweatshirt for a cooler evening and when you return...
Powerbank
phone/powerbank charger
A light sleeping bag and a towel for camping in the desert.
A flashlight, e.g. a headlamp, will come in handy in the desert
wet wipes, handkerchiefs, basic cosmetics (if you don't bring them - you can buy them in Cairo)
I suggest that:
in addition to a travel bag or suitcase, take a small backpack or bag to carry water and handy items during your hikes around the city and desert
have a separate pouch for money and documents (e.g. one to wear under your shirt) and a separate wallet for money for current expenses. Pickpockets exist.
Note: this is not a commercial offer, it is a private trip organized by us for "Rabbit's Relatives and Friends"
