Money (cash in euros or dollars to exchange for sweets, baksheesh, and personal expenses, and on a card – for museum entrances, etc. Note – dollars must be issued after 2009; Egyptians do not recognize earlier ones)

Something to protect your head – a breathable hat and/or scarf

Clothing that covers the shoulders, knees, and stomach – breathable cotton or linen clothes are best. Breathable clothing
Sandals will work, as long as they have a sturdy sole
A pair of closed, but airy, breathable shoes, such as summer sneakers
Ladies will need larger scarves to occasionally cover their heads and shoulders, for example, in mosques
While traveling to Sinai, water shoes, a swimming costume, and possibly a snorkel and mask are useful – equipment can be rented or purchased locally
It's worth bringing a sweatshirt, a light jacket, or even a light down jacket for cooler evenings and autumn returns...
Power bank
Phone/power bank charger
Sleeping bag and towel for desert camping. In Cairo and hotels, bedding and towels are provided
Cloth sleeping bags may be useful, as not everywhere they provide a sheet as a layer between you and the blanket
A headlamp will be useful in the desert
Wet wipes, handkerchiefs, lipstick, dry shampoo, and basic toiletries
